What size mini split stand do I need?

Most single fan mini split units work well with our standard stands such as the PS-GS-12, PS-GS-18, and PS-GS-24 stand. For double fan units, or for larger single fan condensers, you may require the PS-GSX-12, PS-GSX-18, and PS-GSX-24. Each product page on our website contains product drawings with mounting dimensions. Always check your unit’s mounting hole spacing before ordering.

Are your stands compatible with Mr. Cool units?

Yes, our XL aluminum stands are compatible with most Mr. Cool mini split units. Our PS-GSX-12, PS-GSX-18, and PS-GSX-24 will all fit Mr. Cool.

Should I order a 12", 18", or 24" stand?

For northern climates that get snow, often times code will specify what height a mini split needs to be off the ground. Most HVAC contractors use either 12" or 18" stands. For climates that don't get snow and just want to get their mini splits off the ground to prevent damage from moisture and debris, a 12" stand is usually sufficient.

Are Pro Stands good for coastal environments?

Definitely. Most of the competing products, including the Diversitech Quick Sling, are made from painted steel which will begin to rust very quickly from salt air along the coasts. Pro Stands are made from powder coated aluminum and will never rust.
